Those are nice. They remind me of those echo pedals that electric guitarists sometimes use.

Since I last posted, I have gone ahead and rearranged my recording set-up from my voice audio arrangement to where I can record my keyboard "dry" as well as record the audio out of the amp. I'll see how the mix compares to what I now have. Just being brave. It might not be as bad as I think.

Of course I spilt tea everywhere since I'm tired, so I'm going to bed! :)

Thanks for the info from everyone! I appreciate it! I will be using it. Also updating in a couple of weeks or so with a re-record.

Best to all!

Wendy

I like Magne's advice best, so far, for the record. Of course if you can pop for Keyscape, you'll know the instrument is not the problem. It's about the best thing going, right now, but it doesn't make sense for me, cuz I have a dedicated hardware electromechanical stage piano emulator. I have EZ Keys and I use it, it's basically an expandable, highly sophisticated MIDI arpeggiator with a built-in piano library that's similarly expandable. Sometimes I like to use EZ's upright; it's slightly skinny timbre is easier to shoehorn into a busy mix, but where things are sparse, I like the Addictive grand.

Thanks for the pointer on the EZ Keys upright piano, and letting me know what you think of Keyscape.
Appreciated! :)

Got the Keyscapes installed. I love the toy piano sounds. This software is serious. I gave myself some time to install it. This is the first time I've seen those credit card sized USB drives. Last time I installed ProTools I had a panic attack half-way through. I've got a better idea of how long the download takes now. Had to upgrade everything for it. Next week I have to make a quick trip to Tucson to pick up the thunderbolt cable and have the SSD card installed. Still have some equipment in the living room that needs to be wired together. So far, so good.

Re-reading Dean K.'s Demystifying the Cue. Getting more ideas about doubling the parts and mic placements.

I will keep you posted on when the "re-do" is finished.

Best!

Hi! I got the Keyscapes up and running. Turns out that I didn't need the SSD card. I'm still fussing with the new equipment. I'm going to be using my new Art Pro Channel II on my next audio book.

I've got the new piano piece up on the website. www.wendylanders.com It's on the site-wide player because that's the easiest place to find it. Once everyone's had a chance to look at it, I'll move it to the back of the website. It's called Faustine Cooks and Broods.

It's louder, at least, than the previous piano piece. I have sent it off for a custom critique. I will share the screeners comments ion a month or so when I get it back.

Thank you all!

Wendy
