O.K. TAXI fam! Here's a ruff mix for an attempt at this listing. You gals & guys chop it down for me! Strings are from EWQL Silver. Panning is done from the EWQL seating layout sheet. Does this do it for you all? Might be a little too much double bass, but I can fix that (I think).The Owner of a Music Production Library needs PUBLIC DOMAIN HYMNS -- INSTRUMENTALS ONLY (no vocals) for use in film/TV/commercials, etc. All instrumentation is OK. This production music veteran signed dozens of TAXI writers to his previous company, and wants to repeat that same type of success with this venture as well. He needs tracks with button endings -- no fade-outs. This company offers a standard exclusive deal. Great performances are essential. Broadcast quality needed [excellent home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY -- NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI.We Three Kings

Wow Dude! That can't be the same silver I have, ha ha! Sounds great to me, very good arrangement, you have taken a very simple piece and taken it to the max.There's just one note that I dont know if its a mistake or your choice? at 1:28 theres a D that in my mind should be D#. Prob the same thing as that C or C# in greensleaves,some play it # and some dont. But anyway, its GREAT! To me that's a go!

Hi ibanez468,Great song! I especially enjoyed the simple beginning with the build to orchestral sounds. I'm in with the bets that this absolutely gets forwarded for Christmas requests! And if you want my 2c tweaks for whatever they are worth-- I'm sure you can get a dozen of them if you wanted! I agree that at 48s something happens-- I wanted the gentle intensity to continue, but it dropped off a little for me there. The 1:11 orchestra take over is absolutely lovely-- and unexpected! Really yummy stuff. I wanted it to continue with that peak right through to the end. The part at 1:22 dropped off a little again for me, but not so much that it was disappointing.Keep us posted-- I'm going to expect to hear that one this holiday season! Great work! Raags

I was thinking that they'd be looking more for things like 'How Great Thou Art'. Good for you for thinking outside the box.I like how the piece grows and your ideas are great. The sounds are great, too, they sound authentic and are good quality. Textures are lovely and I think you have composed it well. Am I wrong? It does sound a little synthy. The instruments sometime seem to come in with military precision, but perhaps that is the 3/4 time. Like at 1:34 when there is a little descant that repeats. I'd just go through and soften those beginnings & 'humanize' them a little. Listen carefully to the velocities as well, for example, 'we three kings of orient ARE' the music punctuates that lower note & I think it would 'float' more - even though it's on the downbeat. As a singer, I would phrase that 'WE three KINGS of ORient are' so it doesn't feel right to me. Sing it to yourself as you go through the phrases to see if they reflect a natural phrasing.
