A question of time!
I've looked around for an answer and didn't find one. I'm curious to know about the time frame between submission and either forward/return. Every time I've submitted its taken the full 30 days to hear back. Has anyone had any feedback closer to 10 days? It might be the popularity of the listings that I'm submitted to. (Not complaining at all. I've only been a member 4 months and have had forwards and deals)

I haven't been at this long but here is my take...
Forwards you find out pretty quickly
Returns can be quick or slow
I'm guessing it is all about the screener making deadlines...
If a listing is in a rush to be filled, I guess the screener has to quickly sift through the submissions and find the forwards then get back through the returns for feedback
(like any job, there is no rush doing the dirty work)
If the listing has time before it's needed, I'm guessing the screener has time to give feedback for returns right there at the listening. So the feedback on returns might happen a little sooner.
Does that make sense?
For me, I expect a long delay means it wasn't forwarded...
Just my guess...

I think I've had forwards that took close to the 30 day point after the deadline. I wouldn't give up on hoping for a forward. On the other hand, best to just forget about it until you hear one way or the other and keep submitting to what you really think are appropriate listings in the meantime.

Re: A question of time!
dispatch listings usually have quicker deadlines, and usually quicker screening and notifications.
that's my experience.

Re: A question of time!
There is no difference between the time to hear back based on forward vs. return. Results are not sent out until ALL submissions have been screened.
The exception to the above is: Occasionally, a listing party needs the music so quickly, they'll contact a member before the review results have been sent out and updated on the Taxi site. In that case, someone might know of a forward early on. These aren't that common.
I find 30 days to be pretty typical in recent times. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less.

Hey Beatz: So you've only been a member for four months, and have already gotten forwards and deals? Congrats! How about posting up a link to some of your music? Would love to hear what has worked for you. Ott

Even though I do a lot of styles, Urban/Hip Hop has definitely been the fastest moving for me!

Re: A question of time!
Just to be clear... It's around 30 days from the listing close date, not from when you submit.

Yep, what Casey said.... 30 days from the listing's deadline date, not from when you submitted. Hope you guys and gals all had a great Thanksgiving!
