Re: acoustic treatments
Thanks everyone. My main concern is the "hashiness" i get sometimes in vocal tracks, I know it's coming from room reflections. I've got a bunch of acoustic treatment stuff but can't install it because we are trying to sell our house. I was just wondering if anyone had experience using something like these things just to tame vocals. Acutually today I'm going to give the closet thing a shot, seems obvious but I didn't think to try it (thanks flood)-

Re: acoustic treatments
Bill I've been using the SE Reflexion for maybe a couple years now with excellent results and it fits nicely in the closet when I'm not using it. I've since treated my room but still always use it for vocals. The closet thing is definitely worth a shot too, since it's already there!Looking at this contraption you posted, I'm thinking you could get hold of a few Auralex tiles and put them against the wall (or maybe inside the closet door) and sing at it. In my room I have some of Auralex tiles tacked to a 2 x 4 acoustic ceiling tile so I can move it around as needed, or throw it in the closet when I'm not recording. Maybe something like that would work, especially easy to put away when people come looking at the house.HTH, J.J.
