I tried time compression/expansion plug-in and it sounded kinda weird, some audible artifacts so right now it is what it is. Thanks Kel, appreciate it...

Yes.. time compression/exp plug-in would not work.. only cure is Elastic Aud but I assume U don't have that..
If U want to, U can pass me the stereo mix wav/aif file & I can quite easily do that.. & if it works, I can send U the sped up file..
Let me know..

I think it's nice. Hard to know what will work when you just get some cue words, so this could be as close as anything, despite the melancholy, tempo ect. Either way, it might work for something else along the same lines.. so throw in the 5'er :D

HELL YA it's worth the $5!!... it might just be what they.. ya never know. I didn't even bother doing anything for it because I just didn't feel like I had an angle on what they were looking for. At least you choose an angle.. hehe

BTW, I listened to it again and to me it sounds better then the first time I heard it...

Good Luck dude!!! /crosses fingers

What did you end up doing with this? Do you speed it up or keep the tempo? I think it sounded great, but I think the tempo was too slow for this listing. I did a track a couple weeks ago for an ad listing, and realized that my tempo was too slow. I was using Propellerhead Record and I sped it up about 6 bpm. They have a great time stretching algorithm. I couldn't hear any artifacts at all. Sounded perfect. I submitted the faster version and I got my first forward. Tempo is huge. But the tools are getting so much better, you can adjust after the fact. And Propellerhead's Record is the best I've heard. My two pennies.

Thanks for the 2 cents Ohtravioso. I'm sure I could have sped it up with elastic audio in Pro Tools but I didn't have time to learn how to do it before the deadline caught up with me. Glad you liked the tune! I'm intrigued by Record as I've been a Reason user for a few years now, sounds like you like it?

Well I figured out how to speed it up and it sounds pretty good! Kel you were right elastic audio is the ticket and it's really easy, I forgot about youtube yesterday when i was trying to figure it out but today i found the perfect instructional video. I uploaded the faster version to my taxi page, hopefully in time, who knows? Thanks guys!

Love the song. Very catchy verse melody. Took me right to a commercial from that first "Blue skies" line. Not sure I see a paper commercial though. Maybe more of a Claritin commercial or something.

I guess I'm sorta in the minority here, but I kinda disagree with everyone about the tempo. I like it where it is. Gives it kind of a relaxed Island feel. Maybe that's it -- good for a Caribbean vacation ad or something?
