The jazz kit comes in two ADPaks; I bought just the brushes, first, so I'm covered.

Boys and girls, this is a steal! If you want to produce some amazingly realistic sounding drums, this is by far your best bet. Giddy up.

Oh my God! I'm a bit blown away. There was a 99 dollar sale on this thing last month and I bought it only because it was so ridiculously cheap. I was using Superior Drummer and "thought" all my bases were covered. But 99 bucks? I bought it and installed it. I loaded it once out of curiosity and forgot about it cause I had too many other things going on and none of them needed a trap set. Two weeks later I get an email from floridamusic (who I bought it from) telling me the exansion packs are half off. So I buy the funk and metal, why not? 25 bucks. Still never opened it. Didn't even download the expansion packs I bought. Two weeks later (tonight) I remember I bought it. Found the expansion pack receipts, installed and farted around with it.

I loaded a rock track and started auditioning mix presets (which changes both kits and the entire mix/effects/eq chain) while it played along. Jaw in lap. I'm literally stunned. Every single new preset completely transforms the entire vibe of the track. It's like I'm an actual mix engineer all of a sudden and things are sitting where they are supposed to. What's most incredible is how much they are dramatically changing how the track feels. Wow!! I'm just pushing buttons. Incredible little device.

Thanks for this thread!

I took everyone's advice a year ago and got addictive drums and I never regretted it.

They do seem to be the most realistic so far. I only wish they had more drums and world/latin percussion.

The Retro add on is fantastic, I'm very impressed with how punchy it is. I still love the Music City kit in Superior Drummer (and some of the other ones as well), but this Retro kit for AD is what I need right now for some of the stuff I'm doing. Check out my silly 70s game show theme on P2P to hear that kit in action. To my ears it sounds great for that kind of stuff.

It's so great to have these excellent tools available!
