Advice on good books?

I heard some good advice at the Taxi conference last year; “Read, people. Nothing will come out of your brain if you don’t put anything into your brain.” Well, I’m feeling a little dumb (uninspired) lately and I need to "fill my brain." Got any suggestions for good reads? I usually prefer fiction, but I’ll take whatever ya got.

There's an insane amount of education here... and a fair amount of entertainment.

I just finished Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman. You might like that. I also loved The Tao of Pi (if you're into questions of spirituality in a fiction format).Also, the forums are great for info and humor. I laughed out loud at least twice yesterday. I'm a hard sell so these guys are pretty funny.

A book I picked up and I'm slowly reading in bits and pieces is "Talent Is Never Enough" by John Maxwell. The title pretty much sums up the book. The focus is on not giving up and developing your talent and discipline. Should be easily found at Barnes and Noble or Amazon.Chuck

I absolutely love Jimmy Webb, and I'm gonna order a copy of this book right now....I've been looking for books on Webb, and I couldn't find all of them....so I'm taking out the 'ole plastic as we speak. "Witchita Lineman" is one of my favorite songs. Of course, he also wrote one of the best and the worst songs, hehe..."MacArthur's Park."
