Walt,
Great job for sure, and I agreee with "shellsings" you need a much better recording of it. For whatever it's worth, if I was to change the song I would -
1. Change the line "One woman wore that dress you like; one had your color hair"
to "One woman wore that dress you like, AND had your color hair"
I say this because you're staring at a woman in the very next line, and this way there's no doubt which one you're staring at
2. Change the line
"But I aint stupid enough to take you back. "
to
"But not dumb enough to take you back. "
I get that in essence, you're saying "I may be dumb, but I ain't stupid" but IMHO the word "stupid" just feels wrong for some reason
3. Finally, if I was wrting this song, I would've turned it around, so it was about the girl not being dumb enough to want ME back - because I drink & cuss too much or whatever.
Good luck with it and keep up the good work.
Jim

Jim,
Thanks very much for listening and for your suggestions. I see your point about referring to one woman instead of two. I will give the other points some thought.
I will keep an eye out for your songs.

Hi Walt,
You have a unique sound and song here, I like it. I think Glen is right, the song is good and shouldn't go through a lot of changes, but, I do like the few lyrical adjustments offered.
Looking forward to hearing it after you take it to the studio!
