allow me to introduce myself...
My name is HUMPTY, pronounced with an UMPTY...Hehe, nah, I am just playing, I am a prospective taxi member, I had a few questions that wherent really covered, I am going to search the forums before I start billowing questions.I am a certified master producer, although my main strong point is engineering (I am taking some songwriting courses to strengthen me up though) and I still have a bit to go on my performances, my singing is pretty terrible, I play guitar, piano, harmonica, and bass, tho like on a 1-10 scale, id put myself at a 5-6 for all of them. I have a lot of heart though, andI definitely love what I do, so I will get there. I am kind of a goof, I take my craft seriously, but not my songs, if that makes any sense, I ascribe to the thinking that not every song has to change the world with a revelation, some songs can just change a mood with a smile, and its equally as valid. I like talking about music and trading tips with people, you know, swappin secrets and talking shop, because I believe that people working together will ALWAYS have more power than one person alone, and you know, good will and all that since if you actually have secrets to swap you are dedicated enough to be a kindred spirit. My main musical styles are rock, and hip hop, and sometimes combinations of the two, but I am really open to anything, and on occasion I do other stuff, that is just where my heart is usually at. I have run out of interesting things to say about myself, so heres a cheap joke, I'm an aries, i like long walks on the beach, I work out, I think its important, kinda laid back, I like starbursts, but not the yellow ones, cause they are hard, its not the juice is loose with them, its the tooth is loose. Cookies are pretty great though too, I can be bribed with a cookie pretty easily, I also enjoy cartoons, cause I stopped evolving around 8 years old mentally, and some times I still day dream about how awesome it would be to be a ninja turtle.well nice to meet you guys

Re: allow me to introduce myself...
Welcome Milfus, from another person who stopped mentally evolving around 8 years old! I have stopped climbing trees though... My knees have figured out that I'm actually 42 now.I do love you're point about not taking your songs very seriously. I mean, we're NOT changing the world here... The first tunes I ever had published were children's music about 15 years ago. Over a 3 album span I had 8 or 9 tunes recorded, which was really cool!! And it taught me the lesson of not taking myself seriously. It's kinda hard to be full of that early 20's/teenager angst when the main chorus line in your song (a jazz ballade, even!) is a crooning "...Rhinos on the runnnnn...!" I'll have to post it sometime! It's really funny. Welcome!cb
