Ambient / Meditation Feedback Request #2

Post by DouglasKnight » Fri Aug 27, 2021 7:57 pm

Hey All - Looking for some helpful feedback on another submission for this listing:

"Please submit well-produced Ambient Meditation Instrumentals with high-quality organic or electronic-based instrumentation – or a combination of both. If you're using any virtual instruments or samples, they need to be high-quality and current-sounding. Imagine the type of music you might hear in a spa or yoga studio – that's what this Company wants to hear!"

Here's my track "Bathed in Light": https://www.taxi.com/members/Gjdf7sdFR5 ... d-in-light

Thanks a lot,
DK

I think it takes too long for the low end to come in around 1:00, and even after that, it is under-represented.
Did you consider compressing the whole track? It is supposed to be a "sound carpet", and even just looking at the track graph you can see quite a lot of dynamics. Maybe too much?

Yes, good point about the low-end -- I dialed it back, thinking it was too much for meditation! I will revisit this along with the compression to tame some of those peaks... Thanks for the feedback!
