analysing effects plugins

Post by lesmac » Sat Aug 13, 2016 4:02 pm

A couple of YouTube vids from The Pro Audio Files.

The compression one has a part 2. It's a really cool way to look at compression.

The Depth in a mix vid outlines the functions and parameters of reverb quite concisely.

If you've got a free half an hour or so.... :)

Edit;

You gotta check out this plugin: TB Isone by Toneboosters!

It's 20 euros.

Theres a demo at the 10 minute mark in this vid. It looks great for positioning elements in a mix, slightly different to the original design use as he explains in the video.

Cool thread. Here's another one for blindtesting your plugins https://hofa-plugins.de/en/plugins/4u-blindtest/
All the free Hofa plugins are great. The Project Time plug-in is part of every template I use.

Dang, just realised the Tone boosters Iso one plugin doesn't come in AAX format for later versions of Pro tools.

One would need to use a wrapper which I don't think I can be bothered with.
