Another $5.00 question...
I was sorry about missing the "fun & quirky" listing deadline, but I was wondering if this might be worth it to send in to the "comedic" listing currently in the works..."Piano Lesson"http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... eam=1would YOU risk the Abe Lincoln? Thanks for taking the time.Ted

Re: Another $5.00 question...
No takers, huh?Well, how about this? Would it be funnier if I called it "Lisa Lubner"? (Yes, I know I'm dating myself here. And proudly so.)I mean... When I hear this, I see Gilda Radner sitting at the piano, with that sweater draped over her shoulders and those glasses sliding down the bridge of her nose, just rocking out to this and telling us why she loves Marvin Hamlisch.I think this is hilarious. Proof that I'm WAY out there, maybe...but funny to me, nonetheless. Yeah, OK. Whatever, Ted... Thanks, guys.Ted

Re: Another $5.00 question...
Hi Ted,I gave a listen, I really didn't find anything comedic here. It would have gone well with the quirky listing. (* Perhaps add some more low notes to provide comedic counter point ").Then I re read the listing. They did mention slapstick / silly films. When listening the picture that came to mind was one of those silent films ala Charlie Chaplin etc. So maybe if you have an extra Abe laying around it be worth it. It's like the lottery, you can't win if you don't play.See you at the Rally...Bob

Re: Another $5.00 question...
This I wouldn't do. Since it's called "Piano Lesson", I'm guessing that the timing problems are part of the "lesson". That aspect of it wouldn't come across without the title (which the audience will never see). The comedic aspect of the timing problems *might* be perceived as, well, timing problems. I wish Matto was here to post his "Uncle Goober" song or whatever it's called. It's crazy, comedic and just almost over-the-top goofy. But musically and technically speaking, it's timed, played and produced as well as any other track.HTH,Dave

Re: Another $5.00 question...
I'm with Dave on this one.....IMHO it would come across as just not well played well rather then intentionally not well played. Maybe what would work better would be to hit weird harmonies that sound strange but kinda fit. Like always harmonizing with a seventh or a second but having it played with perfect timing and intonation that it is obversely intentional.,,,,, I dunno but here I would not submit...........but of course in my universe that means it's a sure fire forward but that's another story for another time......Derek
