Another Chill Hop attempt

Hi everyone -

Here's something else I'm working on to submit for the chill hop listing. If I'm lucky I'll be able to rerecord on a real piano later this week.

Does this seem in the right direction? Cohesive enough but also the right vibe?

Pretty cool! It might help to add some vinyl sound in he back ground and then mess around with the EQ every now and then to give it some variety. There is an awesome plugin I use for Chill Hop called XLN Audio RC-20 Retro. Check out the demo on YouTube, it is really, really good for chill hop.

Soooo cool man! Chillhop is my favorite genre of music. I think this track holds up well. The hats and piano are the two best elements of the track. Right on point. My only 2 cents is that maybe you could make the kick pattern a little more soothing. There’s like this comfortable monotonous quality in chillhop. The kick way close to the snare like that is cool and genre appropriate but if you alternated it where one of the kicks hits on the 2& I think it would add variation and make it more chill. Like when you have the double kick keep it on the 2&e where you have it now but when it’s the single kick back it of to the 2&. I think you’ve got a great shot at a forward nice work!

I agree with Jeremy - it sounds really cool but you might tame the Kick a little bit (and I love me some good kick)!

Overall, sounds good!
