Another puzzle

Post by Zaychi » Tue Jul 28, 2020 7:45 am

Another listing puzzle... google didn't have an answer for me... what does "clean lyrics" mean?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MODERN NU DISCO SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a Film/TV Music Publisher for a few (up to) $5,000 placements in a TV Series on a Major Cable network!

They’re searching for several Songs in All Tempos that could be found on the same playlist as the following references:

“Heavy California” by Jungle

“Get Lucky” by Daft Punk Ft. Pharrel Williams

“Remember Where you Are” by Jessie Ware

TAXI Tip: Per the client, these Songs may be used in bar scenes where people are dancing. You’d be wise to make sure your Songs have a party sound and style that can compliment those scenes.

Please submit original, well-crafted Songs that have great disco-era inspired grooves, rhythms, melodies, and a timeless vibe. Your overall productions should be top-notch, and can contain live and/or electronic instrumentation. Your vocals should be top-notch, as well!

We've been told that actors may be singing along to your Songs in a scene. Although they didn’t specify any lyric themes, they did mention that your “lyrics must be clean.” Please avoid references to specific names, dates, places, times, and brands as well.

Do NOT copy the referenced artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Do not submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists’ Songs, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

The estimated license fees for each of these placements will range between $1,000 to $5,000, depending on the ultimate usage. This Publisher offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 deal. You’ll split any applicable sync fees 50/50. You’ll keep 100% of the Master rights and Writer’s share, and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publishing for any placements they generate. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit for this opportunity. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by a TAXI screener that was hand-picked by the Music Publisher. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Tuesday, August 18th, 2020.
