Another Yay or Nay for listing

Post by Casey H » Mon Dec 02, 2024 2:15 pm

The song: https://s.disco.ac/rjluhbqypxne
Lots of SONGS with Lyrics about PERSEVERANCE and Male or Female Vocals are needed by a high-end Music Licensing Company that gets tons of great placements and offers a very artist-friendly deal to the people they sign!

You’ll keep 100% of the Writer’s share and 50% of the Publisher's Share!

This Company is searching for a range of Songs in the general wheelhouse of the following references and others like them:

"Won't Back Down" by Bailey Zimmerman & Dermot Kennedy

"Survive" by Vanze ft. Neon Dreams

"Never Give Up" by Sia

QUOTING THE COMPANY: "We are looking for Songs that can sync up to scenes that speak to 'surviving', 'won’t back down', 'overcoming odds' etc."

Please submit original Songs in any commercially viable genre with perseverance-related lyrical themes! Your submissions should have memorable motifs, solid arrangements, well-crafted melodies, and well-written lyrics. Due to the wide-ranging nature of the request, instrumentation may vary. Please ensure any virtual instruments or samples you use are high-quality and not dated sounding. Dynamic and well-performed vocals (Male or Female) with a mainstream sound and style are needed!

This Publisher is open to hearing Songs in most of the popular/commercially viable genres, including (but not limited to): Pop, EDM, Singer-Songwriter, R&B/Soul, Rap/Hip-Hop, Country, Indie Folk, Indie Rock, etc. We recommend avoiding submitting anything in genres that don't have a lot of mainstream appeal.

Lyrics need to have strong perseverance-related themes, as well as avoiding references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity. Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

AI ALERT: This company does not accept or sign music that has been lyrically or melodically composed using generative AI, nor does it accept backing tracks, full instrumental tracks, or vocal performances created with AI.

This Company offers a 1-year EXCLUSIVE deal, so the material you submit for this request CANNOT be signed with other publishers or catalogs. Sync fees will be split 50/50. The Publisher will get 50% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll keep 100% of the Writer’s share and 50% of the Publisher's Share - sweet deal!!!

You must own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD and PLEASE INCLUDE A LYRIC SHEET. Time-permitting, someone from the Company (who has been trained as a TAXI Screener) may screen some or all of the submissions. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Sunday, December 22nd, 2024. TAXI # S241222SU

Hi Casey,

Happy Belated Birthday!!!

The first thing that I heard in my head was Michael saying "five dollar."

I say go for it! The song is great, and they are asking for a wide range of styles and it sounds commercially viable to me!

Excellent work as always!

It's a no from me on this one

This is a throwback kinda track and the refs are all modern / current. They don't belong on the same radio station never mind the same playlist. :o

You're probably right. Normally, I wouldn't consider submitting this based on the ref tracks. The wording implies a much wider net than the refs or that the refs are more about the lyrical content. Oh well, it's five bucks (or 1-2 cups of coffee).

Thanks!
:-) Casey
