Any thoughts on BROADJAM web hosting?

Post by slimcharm » Tue Jan 10, 2006 5:27 am

I have registered Jessica's name and I looked into different hosting services..but honestly they all look complicated. I have a coupon from digidesign so I can get broadjam hosting very inexpensively...anyone have any thoughts on their hosting?

Broadjam is great for TAXI submissions but I wouldn't use 'em to host a proper artist webpage unless I had no other alternative. The design templates are seriously lacking (read 'amateurish') and, except for your homepage, the web pages are not indexed by search engines which makes 'em more or less useless for online promotion or getting any serious attention.

To late..decided to do it anyway..Just am fed up with trying to figure out how to record and do web hosting etc. Started to web host at ipowerweb and couldnt figure it out. Their templates were just not right for an entertainer and I just have no clue how to buy a template and cut and paste it into a site. I just cant go through all that learning process...LOL I have had enough.Anyway had a coupon so it wont cost that much and hopefully by next year we will have something else figured out if our results look that bad.

I'm using godaddy. They have a service called Website tonight with a very good template that's easy to use. I've set up 3 website with them so far, everything from a simple one page to a commercial 10 page site. Their customer support is pretty good too.

Actually I signed up at a good price with ipowerweb..but the minute I saw the templates I knew I was in trouble. So thankfully they let me cancel.Anyway we signed up at broadjam using my mbox2 coupon and we are really happy. Granted its not a super fancy site..but its easy to understand and does what we want it to do. She loves being able to change the templates with a click of the mouse! And because she is a broadjam member anyway we have to load songs and photos at brodajam (now we can load more) and synch it up..so its easy.So this is a GREAT option for us!I am off to check out your site guscave.
