Anyone hear from these guys?
Just wondering if anyone who got forwarded heard anything from this company in the following listing. Seems like they ran the same listing ( must use Pro Tools LE?) in many catagories so I'm thinking they needed a lot of music. I did get a forward but haven't heard from them, so I'm just curious. I checked them out online and I'm not sure how they use the music.Anyway here's one of the listings. This one is current:FRESH, CONTEMPORARY sounding WORLD MUSIC SONGS AND INSTRUMENTALS - of all styles - are needed by a Music for Media Publisher. Instrumentals are preferred, but they will also consider tracks that have a vocal phrase, hook, chorus or full lyric. Songs with lyrics should contain great imagery and be thematically universal enough to fit a variety of situations. All tempos are OK. Original recordings are needed and no song samples from a third party can be used. Your instrumentation and performance must sound authentic. Buyout fees between $500-$750 per track, depending on the complexity of the track. You'll retain 100% of your writer's share and will get performance royalties when applicable. IMPORTANT: ALL tracks MUST be recorded on ProTools LE software, including all MIDI data. If you don't use ProTools LE, please DON'T submit to this listing. ProTools LE use must be listed in your bio. Great musicianship and vocals are necessary. Broadcast quality needed (great sounding home recordings are OK). Please submit one to three songs/instrumentals online or per CD, include lyrics (if applicable). All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than Tuesday, September 22, 2009. TAXI #Y090921WO

Re: Anyone hear from these guys?
Hey ebjazz,I didn't submit to any of the listings from this company, but my guess is that if they are still running listings (even if its just 1) they will wait until all of their listings have passed to make any decisions. I've seen this happen before with the first company I signed with. They were building a new catalog and had a lot of listings in different genres. There was at least a 9 month span between the first listing and when they started offering deals. All of the deals were offered at roughly the same time, even though some people had been forwarded roughly 8 months prior where others (me for example) had just been forwarded 2 months prior. So, I think that there is a good chance that this company is going to wait until they get all of the submissions in, review them, make decisions, and then start contacting everybody.HTHSteve
