Anyone in Dublin, Ireland?

Post by asiabackpacker » Fri Jun 26, 2009 3:23 am

I figure if you're in Dublin, you probably know that it's in Ireland...but maybe there's another Dublin somewhere.. Who knows..Anyway, I'm spending a week in Dublin (Ireland) next week. Heading there by myself....well, me and my guitar.Planning to just hang out, check out the music scene, do some writing, drink some Guiness...Anyone in Dublin, or know anyone in Dublin who's interested in connecting for a co-write of some sort?Or can recommend any places to go in Dublin?Shoot me a message. I'm there from Monday until the following Monday. My email is: elliottlemberger@hotmail.comTake care!Elliott

Just head for the centre of Dublin and wander around. There is music everywhere. If you have a knowledge of Irish Trad that would help because you could sit in,you are bound to get chatting eventually with like minded musicians.Be warned though, the Dubs have a wicked sense of humour and mocking is in the genes but they are really friendly.Just a little anecdote.I flew over recently for a few gigs and decided to check my guitar in at the local bus station so I didn't have to carry it while I had a wander. The guy at the left luggage department said "not another bloody musician!!!" so be prepared.
