Quick question:
I have EZDrummer, and I'm doing a project that requires a bunch of different drum sounds in each cue. In addition to regular drums, I need woodblocks, cowbells, triangles, shakers, etc. But, of course, not all of these in every cue. As it stands right now, I need to load in a standard kit, say Jazz or Nashville, and then load in the Latin Percussion kit on a different track, but often just for one sound, like the woodblocks.
So, what I'd love to do -- and I heard a rumor that Superior Drummer might let me do this -- is create my own custom kit. Some of these cues I'm working on just need a basic kit, so I'd love to jettison the drums samples I don't need, and replace them with the woodblock, or cabasa, or whatever, that I do need in that cue. It'll save track space, and more importantly, RAM.
Does anyone here who has Superior Drummer know if this is possible?
Thanks!
Kevin
Anyone know? Does SD let you customize drum kits?

Nice! Thanks for all the info!
For some reason, I wasn't aware that Superior Drummer was that much more advanced that EZDrummer. I guess I really didn't know what the upgrade would give me exactly. I suppose I was thinking that it was just more extensive drum sounds or something. I didn't realize how much editing capability Superior Drummer allowed. Wow. I'm going to have to go back through your links and absorb more info.
Thanks!

Superior Drummer is more like EZ Drummer on steroids
It's amazing the flexibility and power that it gives you. I love it, absolutely love it. You can use it to be as complicated or as simple as you want. It's great.
