HiI'm using EMU 1820 for2 years now and gonna trade it out, because I switched from PC to laptop and besides don't need so many INs and OUTs.Came across with EMU 0404 USB and just wondering if anyone of you is using this for recording? I always preferred knobs tweaking from mouse clicking Not sure about pres - gonna get an outboard unit, but converters will do for the most of TAXI listings, I guess. Any other recommendations of compact, yet high quality audio interface for laptop are welcome.carry on,dyak

I use the 0202, and it works fine, but Old Goat has the 0404 now.

Yup. I like it just fine. Does exactly what I need it to do, and is a step up from the MobilePre I was using. The pres are considered good for the price. Unless you are gonna spend double or more what the E-MU runs, I don't think you can go wrong. I just took a weekend at a friend's lake condo, taking the laptop, the E-MU, and a couple of mics and was able to work very well...

So you're fine with these pres for many of TAXI listings purposes and work alike? Any experiences with Konnekt 24D? SOme other guy told me to chceck it out... Anyway I need portable unit to record my ac. GTR and vocal with laptop... going thru 0404 USB's specs I guess it's really worth giving it a shot for the money... thanks for your feedback.carry on, dyak
