Apple ads

I just read the article in the newsletter today from the Road Rally with Peter Greco and Stephen Goldman and they talked a little about Apple's music in advertising.

I *love* Apple's selection of music they use in their ads. I loved how they used The Submarines for their iPhones a few years back and I really like their latest instrumental on the iPad. In fact, I'm a little obsessed with it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lpo__xhTSv8

I agree, it's a great study in effective music for commercials. Find a groove (on anything!) and a short catchy ostinato, loop it and add instruments playing the same. Brilliant musical thinking for short sequences like this!

Maybe sample a funny grin, find an ostinato on the cheek, and then add body parts imitating the sound
