ASCAP BMI and Taxi

Post by Jed » Mon Feb 07, 2011 11:50 am

I am signing up for Taxi as soon as I get the cash (won't be long) but my question is this:
When you sign up do I, as an individual, have to also sign on with one or all of the Royalty companies or does Taxi do that? Don't brow beat me to bad for what is probably an easy question. LOL

Thanks,
Jed

You have to sign on your own. TAXI is not a publisher to do this for your songs.

Jed,

you do have to sign up (yourself) with ASCAP or BMI to collect performance royalties (resulting from radio or tv airplay of your music).

You don't have to be a member of either (or any other PRO) to submit music to Taxi's listings.
