Thanks, you guys. Silly as it may sound, sharing the news with you guys makes it somehow bigger, better. And your support is the best.And for those of you who believe in the power of prayer...a small request.Popoh (my soon-to-turn-80-yrs-old stepdad I went to NYC to see) had a seizure in his doctors' office (and cracked his cheekbone in the fall) about 5 days before I got to the city. It took me two days to track him down --in a bed at the VA Hospital, which is where I spent most of the rest of the trip-- and find out what happened. He is having a pacemaker put in place this very moment, as we speak, and will start him on some medication to try and stave off the seizures. Next time you turn your gaze upwards, could you just smile and say a quick "thank you for helping Popoh"? Sure would appreciate it.Wow. And I didn't get all emotional.
