Starting tonight on History channel starts a Beatles In The Studio series, where they will be discussing how different recordings were created.

The beatles wrote some great and not so great songs. It must have been rough to come up with a hit every 3 months. No wonder John lennon wanted out of that situation.
Ask me why seems to be an early underrated great song. It modulates to the relative minor nicely. Why George Martin refused to put this out as an A side is beyond me. He also picked lady madonna over across the universe as the A side which I thought was another mistake. ( the phil spector version is better I believe)
Anyway, the beatles wrote their asses off and I'm glad they did. They made the world a better place. :D
