Welcome to the forum! I wish you success in your musical endeavors! One observation and some advice, FWIW:Musicians tend to be very close to their work, understandably so. Musicians also treat music as the sacred thing that it is, again understandably so. The problem with this, though, is that musicians tend to forget that once they enter the musical marketplace, their music becomes a product. Even if it's the most transcendent, beautiful music on the planet, as soon as it is put on a CD or online for download, it becomes a product. That's a tough pill to swallow for a lot of musicians, but it's a leap that musicians need to make in order to succeed in the marketplace. On that note, I'd like to offer this: Think of your demo as you would think of yourself preparing for a job interview for a job that you really want. It's your dream job. What would you wear to the interview? Would you shave, shower and wash your hair before you went? Would you have your suit pressed and dry cleaned? Or would you show up in jeans and a T-shirt with a 5 o'clock shadow, trusting that the hiring manager would see through your appearance and recognize your winning personality? Depending on the firm you were interviewing for, they might not let you past the receptionist if you showed up in your gardening clothes! So why would you present your music in anything but it's best clothes? I'm not saying that you wouldn't, but even if you're going to present a guitar/vocal demo, it should be the best guitar/vocal demo you can afford, because you may only get one chance to make a first impression. Not trying to sound harsh and discouraging, I'm actually encouraging you to bring your A game to your music. It deserves the best you can give it.Good luck and enjoy the ride!!Mazz

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

Is there a cheap place to host music? These wave files are pushing 36-40 MB. A little to big to e-mail.You can convert those files to mp3s that you can host a number of free places like soundclick and Reverbnation. They're small and you can post links to them rather than having folks download a file.HTH,Mazz
