Being featured on XM Satellite Radio...(wooHOO!)
Hey,Not sure if this should be listed in the "Success Stories" chapter or here, BUT...Got a couple of emails this morning from the Public Domain Foundation (the co-sponsor of this year's Kerrville Folk Festival Songwriting contest), confirming two things for me.First, I'm truly disappointed to say that I did NOT win one of the 10 finalists' spots on stage at this year's festival; and I TRULY believed I had a shot at this one. BOO!! Hiss!!!!! My oldest sister is still convinced it was a typo. Love her. But the UPSIDE to this is finding out that XM Satellite Radio has recorded a special show, to be aired on their Channel 15 --called "The Village"-- that features ALL 40 of the semi-finalists; and according to Christine Lavin (one of their producers AND on-air personalities), Bill Kates (one of their program directors, as well as an on-air personality) "...was BLOWN AWAY by the quality of the songs and is very enthusiastic on air." The show has already been taped (back on the 21st), and I should know within the next week or so when it will air for the first time. And you can BET your sweet bippies you'll be hearing about its air date as soon as I know.wooHOO! Airplay is airplay!!!Sharing this news with you guys just makes it that much more special.XOXOXTed
