Best Headphones for casual walking???
For exercise, I enjoy taking casual walks while listening to Rock music via my Sansa MP3 player. I prefer to use a traditional headset that goes OVER the head, rather than earbuds or the headband that goes behind the head. For the longest time, I had been using the Sennheiser PX 200 lightweight headset, which has a HUGE sound for a small headset. But after years of use, only one side (for one ear) works now. I have to find a replacement, but these headsets are not manufactured anymore. I know that the new Sennheiser PX 200 II is now available, but most reviews state that this newer model does not sound as good as the original.
So I thought I would ask the opinions of Taxi Forum members what their favorite headset is, and why. For me, a good bass sound (or bottom end) is important. I shun the headsets that will only produce mids and highs. Also, I do not like a headset that is too tight on my head or ears. A comfortable fit is vital. I know that we all have different sized and shaped heads, so there is no real ONE answer. But yes....I would love to "hear" some Feedback from any and all of you. Thank you in advance!

I don't wear headphones while walking, never liked the isolation when stepping off a curb while engrossed in music, but that's just me.
But for light cans that are small but not ear buds, I bought a pair of Ultrasone Zinio phones on the recommendation of famous remixer Carmen Rizzo who I met at an event in SF. They sound nice and are "on the ear" as opposed to ear buds or big full ear models.
Only your ears will know for sure.

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

For good sounding in earbuds, I just picked up Sennheiser CX 380 Sport II. Very nice response throughout all frequenecies - sound pretty flat to me. Not overly harsh on HFs and good bass response - not too boomy like some of the "DJ" earbuds. They also fit well as they provide three bud sizes.
I use Grado SR325is phones for final studio mix work, not to suggest that you would use those for walking nor that the Senn's are in the same league - just to give you a perspective of what I use as my "gold standard" for evaluating phones.

For casual walking and most other kinds, I prefer my cowboy boots to headphones. I can't fit my feet in them little cups.
