Best quotes from 2012 Rally?

Post by gklosner » Tue Nov 13, 2012 10:22 pm

You all wrote down or remember things from panels or classes, or something funny that was said may have cracked everyone up in the lobby/lounge. We did this last year in the forums and there were some great quotes. I still have to think it over - I was a bit overstimulated (in a very positive way), so I need time to sit back and absorb it all. So, go ahead... tell us your funny or inspirational quotes! (I know Michael had a few during the panels!)

Dave Trotter had a class called "you can't unring the bell," meaning some mistakes can't be undone. But at one point, he paraphrased it to "you can't put the s--- back in the horse."

Cracked me up...

Well, I won't say who said this but many of you heard it....

Wow! I am really glad y'all put this up here. But, I wasn't at the Rally this year so I hope you don't mind me posting. I saw Rob Chiarelli on Taxi TV Live this Monday and it was such a great show. Yes I got that about the vibe but I am thinking that has a lot to do with how live it is in that mentioned indie thing mentioned in his last show. One thing I found interesting was the freshness of younger musicians and how younger people find music they like as opposed to finding it on the radio.

I saw the UStream TAXI TV show w/Rob on Monday too - great episode. Loved the "If you think it's 'good enough', then it's not." observation as well as the need to add that extra 2%.
