Don't worry. I saved all of your rally texts and will be publishing all of them!

Another quote heard often at lobby jams.... "Sure... I can sing it in that key". :o

I can't remember the exact quote, but at the final A&R panel (I think), one of the panelists was mentioning that one should write a great song before focusing on the production, "otherwise you're just putting lipstick on a pig".

How true.

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

Rally fave quotes and moments - these few struck home for me...

Quotes:
- Rob Chiarelli: "Do not sacrifice a great performance by pursuing the right pitch" & "Imperfections MAKE the record, often"
- Mandi Martin: "Follow your heart"
- Jason Blume (Via Bonnie Mckee): "Work the melody until it's ABBA perfect"

Moments:
- Charles Fox playing/singing "Killing Me Softly"
- Feemster completely falling into a taxi members track during the final panel (and Mazz gets it perfectly on the nose, above...)

and a hundred more of each...

Charles Fox's wife when the repair man said her husband had an easy job sitting at the piano in the basement she said " You think? He's been down there for two days and hasn't slept"
Can't remember the guys name who said it, but I wrote it down. "Be relentlessly creative"
And Mazz's rule #1 " I'm probably not as good as I think I am. Be humble"

I remembered another one. One of the producers in the final panel leaned into the mic with his eyes real big like he was sharing very shocking info and said about Nashville " Down there they have real people playing real instruments" Had to laugh at that one.

As we sat wearily in the lobby awaiting departure Mon morn, a girl joined our group with a T-shirt printed "WRITE FEARLESSLY"........ Mojo and I turned slowly tward each other as I said "Well we sure drank fearlessly!" ........last good laugh shared at the Rally.
