Best Ribbon Mic for $$ ?

Hi folks,I'm looking into purchasing a new ribbon mic -- have been engaged in due diligence -- the new Royers (white sheets) are impressive. Any personal experience with how the Royers (or any other brand) handle very loud singers would be appreciated. bc
