"In a blue ruffled shirt and a pink boutonniere,I took a deep breath before I asked her to dance..." sorry. I KNOW it's beyond cheesy to quote one of my own opening lines, but it's the BEST opening line I've ever written, according to three of the screeners (who ALL ultimately RETURNED the submission)...

I think this opening line is quite memorable:-"I can see Claire Lee now Lorraine has gone"

May be we need a "Misheard Lyrics" thread... I still remember Creedence Clearwater Revival singing, "There's a bathroom on the right" and Hendrix singing, "Excuse me while I kiss this guy"... Anyway, back to opening lines I guess (regular or misheard)... Casey
