Very nice work Brindabella. I really liked the transition in the middle section. This did not really strike me as being "whacked out" though. Sounded a little more on the serious side to me. In any case I think you have done a very good job.Kurt

I know, I need to lighten it up a little ( if that is possible) I might not even submit it. Im just very happy because so far I was the Queen of bad mixes and Synthy strings!!

Very good work!!I wouldn't call this ultra wacked out, but it could be. I would start incorporating those synth sounds right up front. Make the orchestra a bit smaller and build up to your big sound, I think it will be more dramatic and fun and would leave space for the synth sounds to add that fun, wacky element to a "serious" piece. The middle section is cool but I'm not sure if the sound effects are really adding anything, particularly when they're going constantly. Maybe weaving them in and out of the mix (and mixing them softer) would make them more special and help maintain interest. All in all a cool concept that could be pushed further in the wacky direction pretty easily. You've latched on to the Gold library pretty quickly, your classical training and chops will give you a huge leg up on this kind of stuff, I predict it's going to come pretty naturally to you.Keep going, it's great to hear!!Mazz

Thank you Mazz! Let's see what I come up with at the end. I hope I dont screw it up! Maybe my choice was not good for this listing. I love this Prokofiev piece so much I dont want to turn it into a cartoon.

Hey BrindaB, nice piece here. You're getting a great orchestra sound and it's sparse enough to be able to hear all the instruments clearly. Was that an ogre voice I hear near the beginning? Did you use an ogre sample, or record the real thing?I agree with Mazz that the swamp/forest noises could be brought down; you have a nice woodwind section underneath there anyway.A couple of times I heard a slightly unnatural string attack/release--one example is at 1:39 (does EWQLSO have repetition articulations?).Good luck with this!Vince

How did I miss this? This is really super cool. You're a great player and it comes through in the mock up. Really nice and dramatic. Probably could pull some of the samples down a bit in the middle, but I thought it all worked well. Bravo.B
