BLUES INSTRUMENTAL #2

Post by DouglasKnight » Sun Apr 17, 2022 3:15 pm

Hey folks,

Not sure if this one is ready from prime time, so would appreciate your feedback on it: https://www.taxi.com/members/Gjdf7sdFR5 ... mama-blues

Thanks a lot,
DK

Several BLUES INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a Music Supervisor for several (up to) $6,000 placements in a brand new TV Show that just got picked up by a Major Streaming Service!

This Music Supervisor is on the hunt for quite a few Instrumentals in All Tempos that could be found on a playlist with the following references:

"38th Street Blues" by B.B. King https://youtu.be/TeKMyhhbClY

"I Wonder Why" by Otis Rush https://youtu.be/ZCTYMSzZoSo

"Blues After Hours" by Pee Wee Crayton https://youtu.be/gs1Gv6GFAqE

"Chitlins Con carne" by Junior Wells' Chicago Blues Band & Buddy Guy https://youtu.be/YVzYcvcciVQ

NOTE: This listing is mainly looking for recently recorded Songs in the general production style of the references; but, if you’ve got any great vintage recordings (recorded back in the day), they would love to hear those as well!

Please submit well-produced Blues Instrumentals that could help establish a mood for various bar scenes in a TV show. Soulful motifs, engaging rhythms, bluesy guitars, excellent musicianship, and solid arrangements are all required for this pitch. Organic-based Blues instrumentation will suit your submissions best. High-quality production and authentic-sounding performances are key to nailing this request; so if you are planning to use any virtual instruments, please be sure that they don't sound low-quality, stiff, or obviously MIDI-driven.

Very nice, Doug. The only thing I would add is that the ending is a little like "kissin' your sister." If I were you I'd take the time to create as good an ending as you have everything else. I really think it's very musical and in keeping with the spirit of the references. Good luck, my friend. Best! John
