I was drinkin’ me a six, watchin’ some old scary flick
That came out way back in ‘58
And it starred a gorgeous girl, with bazoombas and some curves
And her moneymaker had some shake
There were aliens from Mars, creatures from beyond the stars
That were hairy fire-breathin’ brutes
But the ships from outer space, looked a lot like paper plates
I saw zippers on the monster suits
Well, I know it’s just a movie
But it was tough to take
Cos it made the whole thing goofy
A Hollywood mistake
Yeah, my time was wasted
It looked cut and pasted
And I lost my focus cos that cheesy hocus pocus
Made it all look bogus
Heard that movie got remade, with a sexy modern babe
Great surround sound and some ultra real fx
So I drove out Saturday, caught a crowded matinee
With a tub of popcorn at the Cineplex
When those giant monsters roared, it looked real and shook the floor
Then they showed the actress in a bathing suit
She was thin as Wonderbread, looked like she was underfed
And her phony hooters were a hoot
Well, I know it’s just a movie
But it seemed so half-baked
And it made the whole thing goofy
A Hollywood mistake
Yeah, my time was wasted
She looked cut and pasted
And I lost my focus cos that cheesy hocus pocus
Made it all look bogus
Hell, I know it’s just a movie
But it was tough to take
Cos it made the whole thing goofy
A Hollywood mistake
Yeah, my time was wasted
It looked cut and pasted
And I lost my focus cos that cheesy hocus pocus
Made it all look bogus
