Well, not much I can really add to all this, but I see "boomer" music in a different way. Every generation has it's "music". Even Boomers have different periods of tunes they like. The early seventies, for example, were very different from the late seventies, and both totally different from sixties tunes. The reason we still like them is because each song is attached to a memory. So basically... we like the nostalgia of it. I don't think it's really possible to create a "new" nostalgic boomer sound. Why? Cause theres nothing attached to it. When you're young, everything effects you. You're on a high one day, and the next, you want to die. The music you heard on those days sticks with you. As adults, we don't live that way anymore, so it seems to me that we can't really "go back" home so to speak. If that is true, then there really isn't a market for "new" boomer music. Just my 2.
