Brand new to Taxi - Would love some feedback
A friend of mine introduced me to Taxi and while I am not a member, I thought I would join the forum to check things out. I am a singer/songwriter out of San Francisco and really have only been writing and performing my own material for a couple of years. I would love to hear some feedback with the following song: http://curtyagi.com/music/06%20Everythi ... .mp3Thanks for the response, my link now works! Thanks,Curt

Greetings, welcome aboard, have a look around, listen and comment on others and they will do the same to you. This thread will key you in on the nuances of the forum, but since your new here I show you some love.http://taxi.proboards27.com/index.cgi?b ... 6086"Linky no worky!"trouble with the host page but have no fear, I linked to your site, nice, and listen to your samples. Pretty nice, CC vibe, nice production, like your voice, all in all sounds good. So check out the above link and again, welcome aboard... Geo

Pretty nice song, I like your voice though it might be a little "breathy" in places but that's a personal preference. You might also consider taking a little twang (don't know what else to call it) off, in spots it was hard to pick up the lyrics (if you had pasted them in.... did you check out the link .... just kidding ). Also the guitar level dropped during the first couple of choruses, made them feel pasted in, a little strange, like they didn't fit, the last one where you play harder sounds good. All in all a good job, nice song.... GeoP.S. That was your freebie.

I appreciate the response and I went ahead and introduced myself in the general discussion area as requested in the posting you sent my way. I'll be trying to listen to others' music later when I am home.In addition, here are the lyrics to my song...Everything’s All Right – Curt YagiVerse 1Longer days, heart can bear, eyes can see, despairEmptiness, takes control, light has fallen, lost its glowHelplessness, blurs the line, can’t you see the signReach within, realize, live your lifeChorusEverything’s all rightDry your eyes on me tonightTrust my soul and see my lightEverything’s all rightEverything’s all rightVerse 2Brighter days, always find, peace of mindSee my eyes, look inside, step the lineGive you my, soul to hold, take controlHard to hold, heart and soul, more than you knowChorusBridgeCan’t make you see…gotta beChorus (2x)Thanks again for my first reply!Curt
