...this is my second-go-round with taxi. first time was BEFORE the ARMY and several other massive failures. after one month of membership and three submissions, i have received a forward for the following listing:INDIE DANCE/ROCK SONGS in the range of MGMT, Goldfrapp, The Helio Sequence, Santogold, Sparks, Of Montreal, Suicide, David Bowie, Hercules and The Love Affair, etc. are needed by an established LA-based Independent Music Publisher. This Publisher has signed dozens of TAXI writers and has secured tons of Film/TV placements. The President of this company will be screening the submissions himself and is looking for an intriguing hybrid of Indie Rock, Punk and Dance music. He'll be interested in songs with vocals primarily, but instrumentals will be considered. Excellent performances are a must and a compelling/unique/intriguing presentation will make all the difference. All tempos will be acceptable here, but be sure to put your best foot forward on your submissions. Songs need to be recorded at Broadcast Quality, though great home recordings should be just fine. No uncleared samples or profanity, please! He splits the license fee with you 40/60 [that 60% is for you] and doesn't take any publishing.Submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics if applicable. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than September 19, 2008.
