Great tune, mark. I took a stab at it too. And I had the same issues. I was trying to decide whether to call it something completely unrelated, or something with Break Free. I went with "Rise Up and Break Free". I was thinking that the reason they ask for that sometimes is, in some way it helps them appear cooler, like they are tied with artists, rather than jingle writers, which nobody's into anymore. But I was under the gun to get it uploaded and had to think fast.
Also it said you could modernize it, but not too edgy. I ended up going pretty old school. Eagles meets Jackson Brown. Let me know what you think. I was thinking a droning guitar might have moderned it up some, but again it was pretty short notice and I was running out of time. Yours did hit the "modern" mark I think, which will be a plus for you.

I don't listen to guitar players who listen to guitar players. I listen to guitar players who listen to sax players.
