Casey, I saw the way you did that on your site and it works nicely. Now if the player were first rate itwould be a winner. But it certainly lets you list a number of songs without using up site bandwidth.

Quote:Now, I'm assuming the reviewers are taking the fact that they are listening to 128k mp3s into consideration when they review music - BUT if forwarded, do the folks on the other end dismiss a submission cause it's a wav converted from a 128k mp3 (or a un-converted 128k mp3) & doesn't fit their needs? In other words, how do you define *Broadcast Quality* or *great-sounding home demos* if they are 128k mp3s?Guys I would submit that this is not a significant issue.I send virtually all my mixes that I email to or upload to my clients for approval at 128k encoding to keep the filesize more manageable (and those clients include some of the more picky music libraries out there), and I've never had a problem.Anybody with any kind of experience can USUALLY easily distinguish between mp3 artifacts on the one hand, and the kind of flaws that make a mix less than broadcast quality (out of tune or poorly performed vocals, bad mix, cheesy sounds, uneven spectral balance, midi-itis, sloppy playing, singing into the back of the mic etc., on the other)Unless the encoding is terrible, 128k sounds just fine.I've NEVER sent out anything above 192k.Quote:I really hate to sound like a whiner here, but it also appears you can't move through various parts of a song on Broadjam - I would think this would make critiquing music very time-consuming (in addition to being annoying) for screeners.Typically the screeners listen to a song all the way thru, taking notes. Then they write the critique based on that.Remember these are experienced industry pros who have listened to thousands of songs, and they also have lyric sheets in front of them to help pinpoint stuff.I think it would be uncommon for them to have to skip back and forth in a song.matto
