CD Labels

Post by horacejesse » Mon Jan 15, 2007 4:42 pm

Last year after I joined Taxi I purchased a CD labeling system. The brand name is Avery-Dennison. This dinosaur always moved slow on my computer and I was not that happy with it. But at least it worked.Yesterday it stopped working, always leaving the message that LABELER had caused an ivalid page default in Labeler. No matter what I do I cannot get it to work correctly again. So I thought I would uninstall the program that came on the software disk that was included with the labeling system and then reload it onto my computer. Then I thought I remembered that the CD that came with it had no label itself!! so you could see what the devil it was. I was pretty sure I had saved the CD, since I usually do. I found an unmarked one in a likely place that I would have put it but my player said it was empty.I think these swine may include a CD that self-destructs after one usage like something out of mission impossible. Do these outfits do this?Has anyone heard of this problem, know how to fix it or the existence of a more efficient labeling system for a reasonable price? I paid $34 for this one and it peeves me mightily that I was only able to use the software once before it apparently self-destructed. I would appreciate any advice.

Hey! You're in luck (this time). Go to www.avery.com. You can download the software there for free (it's called "Design Pro Media LE"). Thank you. That'll be $50. Dave
