Lovely. I got nuthin', other than there's a couple spots where the drums have a flourish at the same time as a guitar/bass run; a trio that's been playing together for a long time would probably be more sensitive to stayin' outta each others' way, other than that, an absolutely awesome job of sounding like three guys, no, three musicians in a room. Kudos! Care to discuss how you miked the bull fiddle? I got a doghouse player in my new band, and I'm collecting tips in anticipation of our next studio foray.

Listened to both, and I agree the 2nd mix sounds better, more organic somehow. And yes, has a nice Charlie-Brown-Xmas-type feel. Maybe "Skating in Central Park"?

Thanks all!!cj, THANKS!!!!Mojo, I used two AKG condensor C460B mics and set them over each f-hole and the bassist had a bridge pickup that we used. Most of the signal is from the pickup - as the room mics picked up some noise (squeeky bass player's stool). wrdsnmuzik,I like the title but I don't know if you can skate in central park. I think you may have to go to Rockefeller Center but I'm not sure. I'll do some research there. Thanks you guys!!Kitz

Beautiful peice. I could just keep this going on repeat. It's so uplifting and as Paul said, it's got a very "holiday" feel to it. I really think you could submit this to some Christmas listings too. It's immediately what I was thinking.-Andy

Hi Kitz,This is a very nice tune. I like the overall vibe and your musicianship. One small nit - the first crescendo at about 20 seconds sounds a bit forced to my ear. I didn't recall this from the longer 3 minute version.I did a comparison and found that, in the longer version, the crescendo occurs about 40 seconds or so into the tune and that it seemed like a more natural increase in emotion, given that I was by then comfortable with the tune.I believe that with the shorter version, this crescendo comes on a little too strong, a little too soon.Just my opinion...Nonetheless Cherry Pie is sweet and I agree that mix #2 is a winner. Thanks for sharing it.Al
