Children's songs & Urban Comedy forwards

Post by VanderBoegh » Wed Dec 02, 2015 2:34 pm

Got a few through for the following listings. The first two are children's songs that I wrote years ago, before I decided it would be best to let REAL vocalists handle the singing, haha. But I tried doing my best CW McCall on the Wild Wild West song.

In the Wild Wild West: https://soundcloud.com/vanderboegh/in-t ... -wild-west
and
Tie Your Shoe: https://soundcloud.com/vanderboegh/tie-your-shoe
for this one:
ORIGINAL and/or Public Domain EDUCATIONAL CHILDREN SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a successful Music Library with a huge list of placements in Film, TV, and Commercials. They're on the hunt for well-crafted Songs in All-Tempos and Styles that would work for kids in the Kindergarten through Fifth grade range. Songs should have simple but easily memorable melodies that are easy to sing along with, with a fun, emotionally engaging (for a 5 to 10 year old) vocal performance. You know the type of songs, the ones that your kids will want to repeat over, and over, and over again until you can't take it anymore! Lyric themes can vary, but should be educational and positive.

and
Sketchy Sham: https://soundcloud.com/vanderboegh/sketchy-sham
for this one:
URBAN-INFUENCED DRAMEDY INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a very successful Music Library with a long list of great placements. They’re on the hunt for Mid-to-Up Tempo, Urban Dramedy Instrumental Cues with moods ranging from light and fun, to mysterious and sneaky. Please give them well-crafted Instrumental Cues with current sounding Urban/Hip-Hop style beats, and strings played with either pizzicato or staccato articulations. Other electronic elements, as well as guitar and bass could work for this pitch, as long as the main focal point of your Cue is based around a cool Hip-Hop beat, and string melody. Build your Cue around a central melodic theme that keeps the audience interested by adding and subtracting layers of instrumentation as it progress. Imagine the type of music you’d hear behind a group of friends socializing on a reality show, as they joke at someone else’s expense.

Ohhhhhhhhhh yeah kids!! Haha! Love it, Matt, congrats on the forwards! I got my 3 year old boy with me listening to Tie Your Shoes and I think it was the first time today he's stayed quiet for longer than 2 minutes. Kudos to you, it worked!! Plus, gotta give props to your edit point game on Sketchy Sham, nice! All the best!

The dramedy cue was perfect! It took me right to a TV reality show where someone is trying to play a joke on someone. Congratulations, Matt!
