Stephen,I really loved this!! Is that you singing? The backups made me really happy. I got all tingly. Yay! I'm impressed. R&B christmas songs.......ahhh. Like all the warm fuzzies in the world wrapped up in one tune. Well done!! Note: A little moment toward the end with the steel drums, a couple of interesting notes there you might wanna consider but it's a little thing. I loved it.

Nice song Stephen.I really like the sound of the backup vocals.I'm not sure that many people know what or rather where T&T is (I had to think about it for a bit). In the line "He did not count it robbery to be Made in human likeness" the use of "robbery" was an interesting one. I had never thought about it using that word. I like the image that conveys, but I don't know that it quite fits with the rest of the lyric and groove of the song. That word has a harshness to it that isn't anywhere else in the piece. On the other hand the contrast with the rest of the chorus "It's because of Love" could emphasis the difference. I don't know if that was your intent or not.Production wise the steel drum rolls at the beginning sounded a bit mechanical to me - I didn't notice it at the end as much, mostly because they weren't in the forefront of the sound.Trent

hey there, stephen! I'm new here but I thought I'd drop a note to say that I really enjoyed listening to this. Loved the production, the message, and the voices. I did notice the same thing with the steel drums at the beginnning, and the little "squeak" in the left channel that's part of the rhythm track seemed a little too far forward in the mix, but that's nitpicking.Only line that slightly caught me up was "That is why it's because of Love there's Christmas". I kept hearing it was "That is wise, because of Love there's Christmas" even though I had the lyric in front of me. Could just be me. It seems to me that the "it's" could be dropped with no loss to the melody or the message.I certainly would love to hear this playing at Christmastime. - James
