CLASSICAL Forwards

Post by steveprobst » Thu Apr 30, 2020 9:10 pm

Thrilled to get a nod in this genre!
Okay, I'll take two. It always seemed daunting but I've always been drawn to the orchestral. Had no idea I could write this stuff (including the meticulous manipulating of samples), but Taxi "said" try. lol

ORIGINAL CLASSICAL INSTRUMENTALS – in a variety of Moods, Styles, Tempos, and Ensemble sizes – are needed by a globally recognized Production Music Library with an awesome history of great placements!

Please listen to the references below to get an idea of the styles they’re looking for:

"Springtime" by Luke Faulkner

"IV, Spider Knows His Craft" by Alexander Litvinovsky

"The Falls" by Ennio Morricone

Please submit ORIGINAL, well-crafted Classical Instrumentals with authentic-sounding Instrumentation that sounds like a real orchestra played by real musicians. Your submissions can range from a small ensemble of strings to a full-blown orchestra, and anything in-between, as long as they sound like the real deal! Any instrumentation that sounds stiff, synthetic, or MIDI-driven will not work for this pitch. Here’s your chance to show off your compositional writing chops, folks!

TAXI Tip: Please be sure any samples/virtual instruments you use sound very authentic, with great dynamics and articulation.

Your submissions can be around 2 to 4 minutes long and should have Non-faded endings. Do NOT copy the referenced composers or Instrumentals in any way shape or form. Use them only as a general guide for tone, texture, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This Company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split all upfront sync fees 50/50. You’ll keep 100% of the Writer’s share and they’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright. Since this is an EXCLUSIVE deal, please be sure the material you submit for this pitch is NOT already signed with any other Libraries or Catalogs. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you'd like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Sunday, April 19th, 2020. TAXI Dispatch # D200419CL

Nice Work Steve - Congrats on your 'new' genre. Agree on the meticulous work once the notes are laid out adding life and emotion.

Tides of Reflection is really nice, love how the piano keeps you hypnotised and pulls everything along

Thanks! I think I used an arpeggiator or something (Have to go back and look) and editing to get the piano to sound somewhat right. I cannot play like that.

Very very nice Steve and congrats on the forwards.

What string and/or orchestral libraries/instruments did you use on this? Very curious to know...

Congrats again,
Robert
