Classifying your songs
I write all kinds of songs but I don't necessarily know how to classify them. Hence I don't know how to response to some of the listings. I generally know traditional country, Rock, hard rock, heavy metal, hip hops, jazz, etc. other than that I'm not sure. Can someone explain this or is there a web site to learn all these so that I can be affective in responding to the listings? Thanks.

Re: Classifying your songs
I'm kinda new here as well, but I've noticed that the group that hangs around here are pretty helpful. I suggest that when a listing of interest comes around and you have something that you think might fit, then offer up a link to your song and ask for feedback. You'll get some very helpful advice.Steve

Thanks, Steve. That's a good idea.
