And your telecaster could sound like any guitar in the world. You know I have seen a demonstration of a full PC that is the size of a ball point pen and actually has a pocket clip just like a pen. You push a button on this thing and out pops 3 legs ( tripod ). You set the thing on a flat surface and push another button to bootup, it shines a laser, projection, on a wall for your screen. Further back from the wall=bigger screen! It then shines/projects a QWERTY keyboard on the desk in front of you and reads where your fingers are in relation to the "keyboard". At the time I saw this it was in development and had some mouse problems but I'm sure that can be worked out. The point of this is, well, where are you going to hookup your glyph? You are not going to and Mojo is pretty close in saying all of your software, PT, Sonar, VSTs and so forth will be online residing on some high speed server and you will have a blazingly fast connection to it wherever you go! You will simply purchase a license to run your stuff. Your input interface will probably hookup to your super backberry so you can record analog and listen back. A lot of your tech problems will just go away as will your PCs.For those of us in the USA, there are some technological hurdles to get past as our wireless/cell technologies have evolved differently than in other countries. We don't have the bandwidth at the moment and in the cell world they still "do ya" by how much you use instead of flat rate subscription. But this sort of thing is almost a reality in some other countries in the world right now. All it will take will be a few people at the very top of these businesses to decide they want to build it, team up and our world will change.Keith

Keith I've seen the laser light 'finger tracking' keyboard you mentioned also. I can still remember when they considered guitarists so far behind music tech, in comparison to keyboard players. Guitarists just didnt have any reason to tinker with computers or all the cool new tech.... my how that has changed..... Chris

Well, they finally made it cheap enough a guitar player can afford it, without havin' to give up the hookers and blow. The latest, greatest whiz-bang all-in-one pro keyboard technology will still run ya 'bout three grand. I don't believe this is due to any technological hurdles; it's because that's how much a professional gigging keys player is willing to pay.I tried each generation of modeling tech as they came out, and didn't pull the trigger 'til gen four. (unless you count the Digitech RP2000, cuz I don't) By then, the POD X3Live was under five hundred, half the price of the first Variax. Between the two, they can replace an entire music store's worth of gear, or nearly. I never meant to get this old, but I'm glad I lived to see the day.
