Oh, we're far from done, here; you actually have enough options to paralyze a moose. A cheap USB mixer might be your best bet, but it ain't the only pony in the show. Er, race, whatever. The least-featured example of the above will meet your stated need; to get two channels of analog audio into a laptop, and USB is by far the most popular method of doing that, but if you shop carefully and are suitably equipped (with USB 2.0 or better) you can typically get eight input channels while monitoring two, which is a more desirable outcome. You might could squeeze in a few channels of mic preamps and analog EQ, or even some digital effects, in the bargain. For a few dollars more, you could get automatable fader and knob control over your DAW of choice, if you see where I'm going, here.

There are cheaper alternatives to a USB mixer, some stereo and under $100USD, but if you can spend $250, you'll have at least one mic preamp that's worthy of the $500 tube mic you'll be buying next, lol. I keed, but sometimes, you'll maybe wanna record a friend or two, in a room with microphones in mono OR stereo, cuz...using a single keyboard for all your sounds severely limits you. The instrument makers are pretty good at stuffing their axes with current sounds that work well together for many modern genres, but styles will change, which is where your ability to program becomes key. Otherwise, you'd have to buy a new axe every few years. I take it from prior posts, you're in the carribbean and there are issues with import/duty. I'm guessing you mainly monitor through headphones, which makes Focusrite products a decent bet; it's something that company pays attention to, though they're not alone in that. Of course you need a quality headphone amp, but line-level outs for monitoring speakers are preferred-OTOH, if your room can't be trusted, headphones and some whizbang software can be of service.

This thing should work with just about any USB laptop: http://www.samash.com/ur22mkii-2-x-2-us ... ur22mkii-p It has MIDI, which you don't strictly speaking need, since your Korg Kross is class-compliant MIDI over USB, but maybe some other MIDI keyboard you have handy only has standard I/O, or if you should stumble across an old guitar synth at a flea market, or all your USB ports are in use, you're covered. I'm wondering what software you use to convert and send files and if wi-fi connectivity is an issue for you cuz some software needs to be updated, right out of the box. Or envelope, whatever. It would be helpful to know your operating system.

The ideal situation is if your laptop has USB 3. and an internal SSD. A big, fast external drive to write audio to is helpful also, and I'd recommend using the USB3 port for that, if you have one.
