Contemporary Country Forward!
Scott Free, Briand "Bamtone" Melanson and I got a foward for our song, Backroads, for the following listing:
CONTEMPORARY COUNTRY SONGS with Male Vocals are U-R-G-E-N-T-L-Y needed for an (up to) $3,500, NON-Exclusive, Direct-to-Supervisor placement in a Nashville Based TV Show. They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that could be found on a playlist with acts like (but not limited to) Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Eric Church, etc., etc., etc. Please listen to the references the client gave us to get yourself in the stylistic ballpark of what they need for this TV Show: “Tattoos On This Town” by Jason Aldean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EU-zks4FRlI “Mine Would Be You” by Blake Shelton: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JkdBnT7j2I “Record Year” by Eric Church: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvvYMxV6TmI Note: If your song is chosen, it will be used as a featured song in the scene. There is also a possibility that they may rewrite or deconstruct some of the song. Please submit well-structured songs with contemporary melodies, great vocals, and a big hooky chorus. Your submission should contain lots of visual imagery, with a super strong storyline that draws the audience in and holds their attention. Your music production should be top-notch, with instrumentation that’s commonly used in contemporary Country music. Lyrics themes can vary, but should be expertly crafted, and in the range of what you’d typically hear in this genre. Please do NOT copy the referenced acts or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). The estimated license fee for this use is (up to) $3,500, depending on the ultimate placement. This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement, so you’ll keep 100% ownership of your Copyright and Master Recording, plus you’ll also get 100% of the Master License Fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your Copyright and Master Recording to pitch for this opportunity. All Submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis. No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 Songs online or per CD no later than 11:59PM (PDT), Sunday, July 2nd, 2017. TAXI #U170702CS

Thanks everyone - appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment.
Tom - not sure we're in Jason Aldean's league, but thanks for the vote of confidence!
Kolstad - yes that's Briand singing country! He's pretty amazing!
