CONTEMPORARY JAZZ BALLADS
Louise Goldberg and I submitted three songs that we thought would work for this listing. The screener thought otherwise; one was too upbeat, one was too solemn, but the third one got a forward! Hope the music supe thinks it's just right!
Mary Catherine Reynolds did a wonderful vocal.
The song is called Summer When You Smile. Here's the link:

CONTEMPORARY JAZZ BALLADS with Female or Male and Female Duets Vocals are needed for a few $2,000, Direct-to-Music Supervisor, NON-Exclusive placements in a Major Studio, Modern Day Romance Feature Film. They’re looking for Down-to-Mid-Tempo Songs that could be found on a playlist with acts like (but not limited to) Diana Krall, Jane Monheit & Michael Buble, Madeleine Peyroux, etc., etc., etc. Please listen to the references they gave us to get yourself in the general stylistic wheelhouse of what they need for this Film:
“Like Someone In Love” by Diana Krall
“I Won't Dance” by Jane Monheit and Michael Buble
“The Summer Wind” by Madeleine Peyroux
Please submit original, authentic-sounding Jazz Songs that have solid musicianship and awesome vocals. Your vocal performance can be a Solo, Duet, Trio or even a Quartet, as long as it has a genuine Jazz-style delivery. This Music Supervisor is a legit Jazz expert, so we think he’s going to be very, very picky in what he chooses. And of course, not only do the songs have to be great, but ultimately they need to work in the scenes he needs to place them in.
Lyric themes can vary, but should be stylistically consistent with the references (and other acts in that ballpark) and be something that could work well as background source music in a New York or Paris bar and/or coffee shop scene. Songs about love and life are always good bets, but you don’t have to stick to those themes. Universal lyrics will work best, so please avoid references to specific names, dates, times, brands, and profanity. Do NOT copy the referenced artists/acts or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine).
The estimated license fee for each of these syncs is $2,000, depending on the ultimate placement. These are Direct-to-Music Supervisor placements, so you’ll keep 100% ownership of your Master and Composition rights, plus you’ll also get 100% of the sync fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit one to three Songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a TAXI screener handpicked by the Music Supervisor - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Wednesday, June 14th, 2017. TAXI #Y170614JB
Cheers

Wow, great vocals. The almost "pixie-ish" timbre of her voice really adds to the lightness of the track.
Nice writing,

Very nicely done, Ladies... great collaboration & team-work.
No doubt it will find placement in a home (not the Old Folks' kind... you know what I mean!)
