Cosmic Dream
One of the educators on the net says to start with a title and then fill in the story first with prose before trying to make it rhyme. My title is Cosmic Dream. It's about the Hindu story of creation. What's cool is that this morning I saw two snakes. One was really big. It's tail was in the rice field. It's body was across the path. It's head was behind a bush. Good thing I was watching what I was doing. I stopped before I tread on it. It decided to continue across the road instead of hanging out there like it was doing and it went into the river that runs next to my house. It was watching me to make sure I wasn't coming after it. The current was fast so it had to tread water. It couldn't continue across the river because there's a wall around my house which boarders that side of the river. It had to wait until it thought I was far enough away for it to come back to that side of the river. I also saw two fireflies the third time in my life tonight near the same place. The prose for my hopeful song;Ananta Shesha, the world serpet, is swimming in the primordial ocean and gives birth to an egg. Om begins to vibrate from the depths of the ocean which causes the egg to hatch. Ananta's egg gives birth to Vishnu. He reclines on his mother's unmanifest coils and falls asleep. Within Vishnu's dream, a lotus flower begins to grow from his navel. When the bud opens, it gives birth to Brahma. Vishnu wills Brahma to create the world and then he does. This whole world only exists in the dream of Vishnu. Shiva is dancing on the world and someday his dance will break it. Anyway, we've never left Vishnu's heaven.
